International Relationship

*Premier Li Qiang of the State Council will attend the 18th summit of G20 leaders held in New Delhi, India from September 9th to 10th at the invitation of the Government of the Republic of India.

 

Industrial Economy

*National Healthcare Security Administration will actively promote the realization of medical insurance services through “urban handling”, and comprehensively promote digital transformation of medical insurance management, further improve the payment method and settlement management mechanism of medical insurance funds, continue to expand the designated coverage of medical insurance, stated at the State Council Routine policy briefing.

*MoF and other four departments jointly released announcement on policies related to third-party corporate income tax for pollution prevention and control, which mentioned third-party enterprises that meet the conditions for pollution prevention and control are subject to a tax rate of 15% enterprise income tax, from January 1st, 2024 to December 31st, 2027.

*MoF and Taxation Administration jointly issued announcement on the continuation of preferential policies for reducing resource taxes on coal replaced by filling mining. In order to encourage the intensive mining and utilization of coal resources, from September 1st, 2023 to December 31st, 2027, resource taxes will be reduced by 50%.

*MoF and other four departments jointly released tax policy announcements on "technology enterprise incubators, university science and technology parks, and mass creation space to continue to encourage entrepreneurship and innovation, from January 1st, 2024 to December 31st, 2027.

*The TV conference call for the deployment of the planning and construction of affordable housing work was held in Beijing on September 4th, He Lifeng, vice premier of the State Council attended and delivered a speech, whom pointed out that affordable housing should be strictly managed and not traded on the market.

* Commodities (night session):

* Global crude oil price closed up collectively. October NYMEX crude oil contract up 0.5% to closed at $85.98/b, November Brent contract up 0.51% to closed at $89/b. INE crude oil active contract up 0.56% to 669.1 yuan/b.

* Precious metals closed down collectively. COMEX gold active contract down 0.15% to closed at $1964.2/oz. SHFE gold active contract down 0.10% and closed at 463.60 yuan/gram.

* Metals closed down mostly, LME lead down 2.07%, LME aluminum down 1.63%, LME zinc down 0.76%. LME tin up 1.91% on the contrast. SHFE lead down 2.30%, SHFE aluminum down 0.99%, SHFE tin up 1.44%.

* Commodity futures closed mixed. Chemistry and energy sector saw mixed performance, bitumen up 2.5%, butadiene rubber up 1.66%, LPG up 1.06%. Black series moved up mostly, coking coal up 2.04%. Agricultural products went down mostly, rapeseed meal down 1.8%, No.1 soybeans down 1.19%, rapeseed oil down 1.16%.
